Ira A. Perszyk, MD is fellowship-trained in medical and surgical glaucoma management and cataract surgery. He graduated with honors from the University of Montana where he received his bachelor’s degree in psychology. He found his passion for being a doctor while working as an EMT shortly after graduation. Completing his pre-medical classes at Columbia University in New York City and Montana State University in Bozeman led to his acceptance at University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, North Dakota where he earned his medical degree.
Dr. Perszyk completed his internship at University of North Dakota Internal Medicine Department / Sanford Medical Center in North Dakota. He then went on to the University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology in Lexington, KY for his residency before completing his prestigious glaucoma fellowship training at University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. Perszyk’s passion for ophthalmology, particularly glaucoma management, is driven by the gratification of surgery and the tangible outcomes that improve the vision and quality of life for his patients.
